What do I get with the free tier?

With SongHub's free tier, you can set up a profile, upload songs,  join and create communities, and search and communicate with potential collaborators. All the social and communication tools on SongHub are free.

What do I get with the Premium tier?

For $9.99/mo., you have access to SongHub's registration tools, including PRO, publisher, The MLC, SoundExchange, and US Copyright registrations. SongHub puts all these services in one place, and your information will populate into each song registration, along with your writer and artist splits (and your collaborators' as well).

What is music publishing?

Music publishing is the business of managing the rights to songs, as well as collecting and distributing royalties for songwriters and composers. Publishers also promote songs to popular artists and license music for use in visual media (sync licensing).

Do I need a music publisher?

Tracking song usage and global royalty collections can be quite complex. Having your publishing rights administered will certainly increase your earning potential as a songwriter by alleviating the overall administrative burden. As a SongHub Music Publishing (Pro tier) member, your songs will be registered with your PRO, The MLC and SoundExchange, and you'll collect global music royalties from the use of your music. In addition, your songs will be reviewed for sync licensing (use in film, television, advertising, video games, etc.).
